The Clinton Museum will play host to a series of adult drawing classes on Thursday nights throughout April.

Getting busy in Clinton

It is obvious that winter is over, as the number of meetings, events, and activities of many Clinton organizations are picking up.

Many groups slow down activities during the winter, as members find it more difficult to get out to meetings due to the weather. That is all changing!

TOPS

If you have decided that you would like to lose some weight before the summer is upon us, the TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) group can offer support and ideas. They meet in the Clinton Library meeting room on Thursdays at 9:30 a.m.

Adult drawing classes

Also on Thursdays in April, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., there will be a new adult drawing class held at the Clinton Museum. Everyone is welcome to come and take part in this informative and fun class.

Health Care Auxiliary meeting

The Clinton Health Care Auxiliary will meet on Tuesday, April 11 at 1:30 p.m. at the Health Centre. More members are welcome to join to help raise funds for health-related items and more.

Annual Bean Supper

The Ladies Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion #194, Clinton Branch will hold their annual Bean Supper on Wednesday, April 12 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Memorial Hall. Come out and enjoy a home-cooked meal and support the L.A.

Clinton council meetings

The Village of Clinton council meetings are held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month in the council chambers in the Village Office building. The next regular meeting of council is on April 12. A public hearing to consider a zoning amendment for a newly subdivided property on Cariboo Avenue will be held at 6:30 p.m., and the regular meeting of council will follow at 7 p.m.

Controlled burn

The Clinton Volunteer Fire Department will be assisting the BC Wildfire Service in doing a controlled burn north of Clinton until April 30. This is to remove fuel in a controlled way in order to offer protection in the event of a wildfire. Smoke will be visible from Highway 97, and likely from in town as well.
