Members of the Passport group at Cache Creek Elementary School took the lead in a drumming concert at the school on March 9. Every division of the school took it in turns to perform the songs and dances they have been working on under the direction of teacher David Dumont (right) and Vernon-based instructor Angela Roy (fifth from right), founder of Expression, a rhythmic art program.
The music instruction and the performance were an initiative of the Ashcroft Local Action Team, which focuses on mental health, and which received funding from the Doctors of BC, Child and Youth Mental Health, and the Ministry of Education.
