D.A.R.E. Graduates

A graduation ceremony was held recently at David Stoddart School for the students who participated in the D.A.R.E. Program.

Constable Jeff McMichaels of the Clinton RCMP Detachment was the instructor for the program with help from Auxiliary Constable Steve Rahn.

Unfortunately I was not made aware of the graduation until it was all over so I cannot list the students who graduated from the program but I do want to congratulate them.

Mobile Vet Moves Again

The Cariboo Mobile Vet Clinic is still coming to Clinton every Tuesday but can now be found set up beside the Petro Canada station.

They can handle vaccines, dentistry, spay and neuter, and have an in house lab, pharmacy and do day surgery on site.

Call 250-644-7687 or visit their website at to book an appointment.

CiB Making a Difference

You may notice that the planters around town have been planted with brightly coloured annuals. This was a project that the Clinton Communities in Bloom members took on in cooperation with the Village Of Clinton.

Chris Johnstone and Yvette May were busy planting the desert planters at either entrance sign and in the park as well as the planter in front of the Village Office and the circle in the park.

The plants chosen for these areas are supertunias which are low maintenance (require no deadheading) and bloom all season. The CiB Committee also supplied the hanging baskets at the Village Office.

The CiB Committee has also partnered with Whispering Pines Clinton Indian Band to maintain the Native Cemetery on Carson Street this year.

There will be prizes awarded in the various categories and no fishing licence is required for that day only.

Plan to come out with the family and have some fun.

Change of Venue for Grad
