A familiarization tour of Lytton last week, sponsored by the Gold Country Communities Society, allowed more than a dozen people—many of them connected with the tourism industry—to find out more about what the historic community has to offer visitors to our region. A popular stop was one of the newly-designated B.C. Heritage Sites on the bank of the Fraser River. Other stops included Ken Glasgow’s sculpture display, Kumsheen Rafting, and the Lytton Museum. The society holds a familiarization tour in a different Gold Country town each year, just in time for the summer tourist season.
