Christine Rivett – Clinton councillor candidate

1. How long have you lived in your community?

Ten years ago, I visited Clinton for the first time, loved the energy of the place and the people.

As a result, within six weeks my husband and I had purchased a home here.

2. What is your occupation?

We immediately joined the Clinton Lions Club and before long we were well emerged into community life. Clinton has to be the best community I have ever lived in.

3. Have you done any volunteer work here? Which group(s)?

At present I’m a Director with the Clinton and District Outdoor Sportsmen Ass’n, a member of The Spirit of Clinton, a Director with Clinton Assisted Living Society and a Co-Chair of the Clinton Annual Parade.

4. Have you served before in municipal government or on a Board of School Trustees? If yes, where, when, and for how long?

Being new to municipal government I know there will be a learning curve.

However I can promise, if elected, to do my best in the position of Councillor.

5. Which issues are most important to you?

My passions are completion of the Senior Supportive Living Project, growth of the community with focus on Economic Development and retaining the community spirit that exists.

6. How would you address them?

As a Councillor, I want to see Clinton continue to flourish.
