Two people have died after a collision involving a motorcycle and a SUV near Lytton.
Lillooet RCMP were on scene Tuesday night (July 4) after a motorcycle collided with an SUV on Highway 1 between Spences Bridge and Lytton. Both occupants of the collision suffered significant injuries, according to police, with bystanders providing first aid until help could arrive. Tragically, they have since been pronounced dead.
While police say it is too early to determine the cause of the crash, early indications suggest that the motorcycle may have crossed the centre line and impacted the SUV.
One lane remains closed but there may be closures of the second lane as the investigation continues.
