Police are looking for whomever helped themself to another man’s money, which was accidentally left on top of the ATM at Ashcroft’s Interior Savings credit union.
On Sept. 21 at 3 pm a 54 year old man called police to report that he had accidentally left $600 cash on top of the ATM. He returned an hour later once he’d realized his mistake but the money was gone. It was not turned into the bank.
Police have the bank’s video surveillance tape and will be reviewing it. They are requesting that the money be returned voluntarily to the credit union.
