In Loving Memory ~
It's with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Colleen. She was 77 and feisty to the end. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to anyone who had the chance to know her.
Colleen leaves behind her daughters Kelly and Jean; siblings William, Harriett, Eileen and Jim; grandchildren Cole and Kennedy as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents William and Harriett Savage, her brother Albert and sister Patricia.
Colleen was born in Tisdale, Saskatchewan and grew up in Osoyoos and Kitimat, BC. She was married to Brian in 1971 and subsequently lived in Kamloops, Creston, Ashcroft, and Kelowna, BC. She worked as an office manager and accountant for various companies.
In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, floating on the lake, spending time with her family and beating most who tried at Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit. She was a voracious reader who loved dogs, Nana Mouskouri, A&W root beer and caramel sundaes. Her kindness and wicked sense of humour will be greatly missed.
A private memorial service will be held in the late spring/summertime. In lieu of flowers, remembrance donations would be appreciated to the SPCA or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
