October 28, 1967 - May 9, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David William Soules of Fort Nelson, BC.
David was born on October 28, 1967 in Revelstoke BC and passed away in Fort Nelson General Hospital at the age of 53 on May 9, 2021 after a courageous fight against cancer.
David will be sadly missed and always lovingly remembered by his two children, Dustin and Shaya Soules, of Fort Nelson, BC, his parents, William and Sharon Soules, of Cache Creek, BC, his sister, Susan Soules (Stephen, Cailey, Alexa, Jones, Parker), of 108 Mile Ranch, BC, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Family was so important to David, and Dustin and Shaya meant the world to him. David was a true friend to many, and he will be fondly remembered by his very large circle of friends from around the globe.
For those blessed to have David in our lives, we know that he had tremendous qualities. He was sincere, smart, witty, caring, generous, a hard worker, ambitious, and he had the biggest heart for people and animals. All around, Dave was a great guy!
David moved with his family from Revelstoke to Cache Creek in 1970, where he eventually attended Cache Creek Elementary School and Ashcroft Secondary School. He enjoyed playing volleyball in high school, dirt biking and hunting in the hills, and fishing at the local lakes.
Upon graduation from high school, David began his welding training at Cariboo College in Kamloops, BC, and he soon became a Red Seal welder. He furthered his new welding career by moving to Penticton, Trail, then returned to Cache Creek to work at the Chip Plant.
In 2000, David ventured north to Fort Nelson to begin his own welding company, Dushay Welding Ltd. From there, David put his heart and soul into his business, and he was keen to enter into other entrepreneurial ventures as well.
David had a passion for adventures, which included flying, fishing, welding, travelling, and scuba diving. Mexico and the Maldives were his favorite diving destinations.
We would like to take this opportunity to give a heartfelt thank you to all those who supported David and family on his journey.
We would also like to thank David's medical teams from Fort Nelson, Fort St. John and Prince George.
In respecting David's wishes, he will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the B.C. Cancer Society, the SPCA, or to a charity of your choice.
David, we will always carry your memory in our hearts.
