EDWARD ANTHONY ELLIOTT
May 21, 1913 – January 25, 2006
Edward Elliott passed away peacefully at Royal Inland Hospital on January 25, 2006 at the age of 92.
He will be deeply missed by his friends, his loving family and his wife of 65 years, Ethel.
He is survived by his children Ron (Carylon), Lance (Shelley), Murray (Trish), Carol, Gayle, Bill (Christine), and daughter-in-law Theda. He is also survived by his brothers David and Andrew.
Ed was a wonderful Grandpa and much loved by his 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. He was pre-deceased by his son Richard, granddaughter Renee and his siblings Johnny, Pete, Clarence, George, Mayme and Katie.
Edward was born in Spalding, Saskatchewan May 21, 1913. He worked at many jobs in the sawmill and on the farm. He was a cook in the Army and several forest fire camps. He was proud to have served our country in WW II and looked forward each year to representing the Veterans at the Remembrance Day ceremonies, which he did for the final time this past November.
Edward was happiest surrounded by his family and always enjoyed the many birthdays, anniversaries and family reunion celebrations. He was a very kind and caring person. Edward was always so appreciative of the people in his life, and he will be missed immensely by all who knew him. He touched our hearts, and we will remember him always.
Funeral services were held at the Ashcroft Community Hall Saturday, February 4, 2006 at 1:00 pm. Funeral arrangements are entrusted by Thompson Valley Funeral Home, Ashcroft, B.C.
