It's with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Mother Elizabeth Hanko on Dec. 12, 2017.
Mom was born in Solt, Hungary on July 11, 1926 to George Kovacs and Maria Farkas . She escaped Hungary during the evening in 1956, crossing the border into Austria, then to Italy were she meet and later married our Father Imre.
They immigrated to Canada in 1957, settling in Alberta and having three children Jim, Susan and Steve. The family moved to Ashcroft in 1974 where Mom lived till 2011.
Predeceased by her husband Imre in 1980. She is survived by her 3 children Jim(Lauri)and family, Susan(Bo), Steve(Simone) grand children Trysten and Joey.
Our family Invites all of Mom's friends to come celebrate her life with us on April 7, 2018 at 12:00 P.M. at the River Inn Meeting Room.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
