George passed away peacefully at Jackson House Long Term Care in Ashcroft on November 4, 2023, at 90 years of age. He was born on July 2, 1933, in Fort McMurray, Alberta to parents Tommy and Mitomi Morimoto and lived in the Ashcroft area for many years, working at Highland Valley Copper.
George is survived by many longtime friends and his niece Patricia Yoshimi Morimoto of Vancouver. George was an avid fisherman and enjoyed gardening and tinkering on his computer. In his younger years he was also an excellent hockey player.
