Howard Wallace Organ

July 24, 1946 – May 8, 2011

Howard passed away peacefully at home in Osoyoos, BC with his wife and two daughters at his side, at the age of 64 years. He was diagnosed with ALS in 2009. Born in Mutton Bay, Quebec, Howard was the oldest of 5 children. Howard married his wife Stella in Quebec City in 1970, before moving to Pine Point, NWT to begin their family. Howard was an electrician within the mining community, and continued his career after moving the family to Ashcroft in 1983. He later joined the local School District and remained there for 13 years until his retirement in 2007. Ashcroft was home for 25 years before moving to Osoyoos in 2008. Howard will be lovingly remembered by his wife Stella; his daughter Connie and husband Nick; his daughter Karen, husband Jeremy, and grandson Samuel Howard. He will also be fondly remembered by his mother Muriel, his brother Richard, his sisters Jean (Kelly), Linda, and Sandra (Eric). Howard was predeceased by his father, Wallace Organ. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 2pm, at the Ashcroft Community Hall, 409 Bancroft Street, Ashcroft.
