In loving memory ~
It is with love and fond memories that we announce the passing of our mom, Ina East. Mom was born in Vancouver, and our family moved to Cache Creek in 1964. Mom worked at the Ashcroft Health Unit and as a cook at the Ashcroft Hospital for several years.
After retirement, Mom moved to Mexico for a couple of years. She returned to Canada and spent two years living at her cabin at Gun Lake. In 2003, Mom moved to Ashcroft. She loved the sun and spent many hours puttering in her yard and fixing up her house.
Mom was predeceased by her brother John, daughter Sherry, and son Dan. She is survived by her brother Roy and sister Rita, daughters Linda and Sandra (Dan), her five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
A huge thank you to Dr. Adetola, Diana Guerin, Better at Home, the ambulance crew, Shawn at Thompson Valley Funeral Home, and the doctors and nurses who helped her with her journey.
