IRIS EMILY WILLIAMS
1929 ~ 2006
Iris Emily Williams of Blind Bay and Kamloops, BC, passed away on February 10, 2006.
She is survived by her loving children Perry (Joanne) of Kamloops, Tom (Audrey) of Clinton, and Laurel of Nelson; grandchildren Warren Williams, Bradley Williams, Angie Cavanaugh (Travis), and Ryan Williams; her sister Emerald Cook (Earl); nieces and nephews Heather Leake (Colin), Angela Hall, Kathy Ritchie (Larry), Janet Raworth (John), Herb Visscher (Florence), and Phyllis Visscher, Barbara Williams, Doug Williams (Jan); and many great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband Wilfred and her parents Stanley & Hoyland Hogarth.
Iris was born on January 4, 1929 in Peace River, Alberta. She spent her school years in Alliance, Alberta before moving to BC with her family in 1947. Iris met Wilfred in 1948 in Cawston, BC and they were married on April 17, 1950. They lived in Cawston until 1957 when they moved to Spences Bridge. In 1976 they retired home to Cawston. Iris moved to Blind Bay in 1987 to care for her parents.
Iris was an amazing artist and a nature lover with an eye for detail.
She would read a book on any topic and always had time for a visit and a cup of coffee. She was happiest on the back of a horse, be it breaking a wild one or pushing cattle.

The Funeral Service was held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 14, 2006 in the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel, 285 Fortune Drive, with Terry Roth officiating. Burial took place at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 15, 2006 in the Cawston Cemetery.
