In Loving Memory ~
With heavy hearts, the family of James (Jim) Andrew Rempel announces his passing on July 12, 2023 at Royal Inland Hospital. Jim was 66 years old, born in New Westminster B.C. on Nov. 30, 1956.
Jim lived in many communities throughout his life before settling in Clinton, B.C. and calling it home for 45 years, 43 of those married to Nancy. Jim was extremely proud of his children, Samantha (Joël), Calvin (Joyce), Andrea McKenzie Raine (Brian Raine), and Carrie-Lynn Zu Putlitz. Jim also leaves behind two grandsons, his sister Ramona Jacob, two aunts, an uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Jim was predeceased by his parents, Jim and Rosie Rempel, and his sister Cindy Little.
Jim's working life consisted of driving trucks ranging from logging, gravel, ore, local, and long-distance highway rigs. He was an old-school driver, always stopping to help another driver in need and ensuring safety came first. He was well-liked and appreciated by the companies he worked for, as the job was done professionally and done right.
Driving was his job, but the loves of his life were spending time at home, spending time with family and friends, fishing, boating, hunting, camping, hot tubbing, playing guitar, listening to old country music, and setting up his model trains.
Jim will be extremely missed by all who loved him.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Aug. 26, 2023, at 1 p.m. at the Clinton Memorial Hall.
