John Joseph Tierney
April 18, 1944 - March 11, 2008
John died peacefully at his home in Clinton after a two year battle with cancer. John was born in Co. Tipperary, Ireland one of 15 siblings. he was predeceased by his parents, one brother and one sister. He leaves his wife of 36 years, Geraldine and sons Ryan and Sean, many relatives in Ireland and England, sister Anne of Naramata, B.C. and many good friends. John came to Canada in 1964 and worked in various places in Aberta and B.C. before
settling in Ashcroft and raising his family and spent many happy hours golfing at Semlin Valley. In 1999 he moved to Fort St. James but it was always his wish to come back to this area and recently he was able to this when he got the opportunity to relocate in Clinton where he planned on winding down his working life and eventually retiring but unfortunately that was not to be. There will be no service at John’s request, in lieu of flowers donations to the R.I.H. Cancer Clinic, amloops or charity of your choice would be appreciated.
