Oreste Giusti, age 90, passed away peacefully at Jackson House in Ashcroft, British Columbia on the morning of December 5th, 2018, with his wife by his side.
Oreste was born on November 1st, 1928 in Cardoso, Italy, where he spent the first twenty years of his life. He moved to Trail, British Columbia in the 1950's and later ended up in Ashcroft, British Columbia where his wife would join him and start a family together.
Oreste worked hard at Highland Valley Copper and in his free time enjoyed gardening and spending time with his wife and children. Upon retirement, gardening became a big part of his life and was what he truly enjoyed.
Oreste is survived by his wife, Luciana; daughter, Nadin (Larry); son, Marco (Melissa); grandchildren, Antonio (Candace) and Dante; and great-granddaughter, Jada.
A big thank you to the wonderful employees of Jackson House and Ashcroft Hospice Program for the outstanding care and support. Funeral mass will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Shrine, Cache Creek on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Oreste's name to Ashcroft Hospice Program at Box 553, Ashcroft, B.C. V0K1A0.
