Robert Fred Bates
Robert was born in Minot, North Dakota on November 21, 1929. He passed away in RIH on
October 12, 2007. Robert worked on Rosedale & Albion Ferries, drove school bus in Maple Ridge and drove for Greyhound for 36 years. He enjoyed touring around on his motorcycles, loved to play cards; especially poker. Robert was an avid
outdoors man, hunter and fisherman. He loved collecting clocks and had a passion for working with his hands especially woodworking. Survived by loving wife Evelline; six children, Garry (Shirley), Dan, Pat, Vickey (Ralph) Nancy, Cindy (Gary), 12 grandchildren & 5 great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the staff of RIH. Tea was held at Savona Seniors Center on October 19 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
