Susie loved to travel and the following is a poem written by Raymond Phillips in her memory:
The Traveler
From the earth
It is spring time now
Longer days, shorter nights.
A time of birth, rebirth and of new beginnings.
The warm sun on her cheek
The wind at her back
A restlessness in her soul
Where will she go?
By road
By rail
By foot
By wind
By heart
By Soul
The clouds gather, rain will fall,
Shtuckem flowers begin to bloom
The salmon will arrive soon
A cycle that never ends and never dies.
The children, grandchildren,
The family and friends.
It is from the earth that she arrived
It is to the earth that she returns
Susie’s travels continue
In the hearts and minds of the people that remember.
Susie’s family would like to thank everyone for their kind words and comfort. We are humbled by your support and generosity.
Thank You.
