BILLY, Vivian

Vivian “Lorraine” Billy passed away on June 1, 2008 at the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, British Columbia. Born and raised in the Bonaparte Reserve on June 11, 1942, Lorraine leaves behind her husband of 45 years, Richard Billy, her daughters, Carolyn Billy, Cherlyn Billy, and Kathrine Stegner and sons Darin and Alfred Sandy. Lorraine is survived by sisters and brother, Diane Sandy, Martha

Sandy (Felix Moses), and Ralph Sandy. Lorraine has many

sisters and brothers in her extended family. They are: Kathy Meixner, Susan Mann (John McNamer), Christine Watt (Dale), Edith McLorne, Janet Pierro, Rita Lulu (Wilfred), Dorothy Bono (Alfred), April Vanderveen, Shelly Kimberly, John D. Billy and Ethel Billy, Dennis Pierro, John Pierro (Meg), Ross Billy, and Hubert Antoine. Lorraine’s nieces and nephews are: Jade Sheena, Christine, Jackie Paloposki, Dale Paloposki, Lynn Paloposki, Tracy Paloposki, Cassandra Paloposki, Andrea Sandy, Kevin Sandy, Lisa Moses, Jonathon Moses, Chris Doucette, Cheryl William, Jason William (Veronica), Earl William (Jaime), Heidi Billy, Kristopher Billy, and Lenora Starr. Lorraine leaves behind her granddaughters, Keena Sky Sandy, Deja Bellecourt, Julie Myers (Manny), Kelleigh Myers, Kimberley Myers. Lorraine is predeceased by her parents, Christine and Charles Sandy, her thirteen brothers and sisters and stepsister, Doreen White. She will be missed by all who had the honour to have met and known her. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on the Bonaparte Reserve on Thursday, June 5, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Interment followed in the Bonaparte Cemetery.
