Dear Editor,
On behalf of the Bonaparte Watershed Stewardship Society, I say thank you for your participation in the production of Cache Creek’s 2016 Rivers Day.
We had the weather, some great displays, a great concession, a well-received tour, a somewhat different viewing platform dedication, and some fun.
I have just prepared 76 certificates of participation for those 76 children who submitted drawings of their interpretation of their river. This participation made my day.
From the input I had from the players of the day, they want to do this day again another year. I will call my board together shortly for their input and then I’ll call a participant meeting if the board says try it. My concern is in looking for additional sponsors, and that has to happen before Christmas for funds for next fall; or so it seems in the correspondence that has come back to me in looking for this year’s sponsors.
