Dear Editor,
I am a retired fire chief, and both my wife and I watched the news about Chief Cassidy in horror.
Few people understand the risks that all firefighters are faced with; but for those of us who do understand, the shock and sadness is all the more personal.
On behalf of my wife and myself, please pass our sympathy to Chief Cassidy’s family.
Also, please let the firefighters know that we share their grief and wish them as much peace as is possible for them at this time.
