Dear Editor,
On behalf of the Terry Fox Run, we would like to thank the 43 awesome walkers, runners, bikers, and volunteers who, along with their generous sponsors, helped the Ashcroft-Cache Creek Terry Fox Run raise $3,185.30 in this year’s event on September 18. It was wonderful to see the loyal familiar faces, and to welcome the enthusiastic new participants.
A special thank you to the Ashcroft Fire Department for their help in keeping our participants hydrated, and to Quality Glass who donated the water to fulfil that task. Thank you also to Ron Jones for loaning his muscles for the event set-up, and to Interior Savings Credit Union, Ashcroft Building Centre, Friendship Auto, and the Cariboo Jade Shoppe for providing registration/pledge sheet pickup locations.
And a final thank you to Barbara Roden and The Journal, for their supportive promotion and advertising for this very important annual event.
Those of us who have survived cancer will always be indebted to all of you who give of your time, money, and energy to help find the cure.
Hope to see you all back in 2017. Bring your friends: it’s a great day for all.
